I currently run a top-rated internet security program on my PC along with a VPN service. how does CHS  compare to these?

Connected Home Security verifies that the devices you have are secured, and the networks they are connected to are safe. Connected Home Security provides security not only to your PC but also to Android devices and other PC devices you have at home. It will tell you the safety of your home network, and provide a single dashboard you can see all your devices.

Can this service replace the above protection?

Connected Home Security is different than most traditional security: it is easier to operate, supports multiple devices, and identifies attackers on networks or insecure devices.  Connected Home Security will identify if your antivirus that comes with Microsoft Windows (Defender) is not working, and will prompt you to run it, as well as identify any vulnerabilities in the device that might be ignored by traditional antivirus. While VPN indeed will secure a connection to the internet but are often slow and damage user experience, Connected Home Security will identify that your home network was not compromised, without any speed and user experience degradation.

Would it be safe to remove my virus and VPN services?

You should always have Microsoft Defender that is built into your Windows active on your machine. Connected Home Security will identify if it was turned off, and will alert you. With VPN, as long as you will follow Connected Home Security alerts on malicious networks, you will not need a VPN.

Does this service enhance or replace my firewall like present virus protection?

There is no need for an external Firewall. Your Windows comes with a built-in firewall. Connected Home Security will verify that the Microsoft Firewall is turned on, and will alert you if otherwise.

Does this service protect my devices away from home?

Yes
